permits & air conditioners
So the fun part of owning a business (NOT!) is when things go wrong. So the sign company didn't get a permit for the banner sign. So we got a call from the city. I had to run down and get a permit for $55 for two weeks. Then it has to come down.
The sign company said they made a mistake (yeah, really?) and they would credit us and make a new sign and get a permit this time. Let's see.
Then of course, our compressor went out on our Air Conditioner. Of Course, it was 104 that day!!! We ended up just getting a new unit rather than wait until monday possibly for the part. Well, it came in this morning!! Thursday. The aircon guy made some cashola from us!!!
Maintain your aircon units!!! It is important. Who knew????

I'm there more now
Since the P&G lay off, I am at the salon every day. I have been getting at least one new client a day from the website or referals. On Saturday I got this cute couple as clients. They were adorbale. She is like 2 weeks away from a baby. They were so funny because they were trying to get me to help them figure out how to break up with their current hairdresser.
I think it is important to find out what they were missing from her service so that I can learn from it and try to not do those things so I can keep them as clients for life.
Last week Matthew and I got our photos taken for some stuff for Salon City Magazine. I can't wait to see what they do with them.
