Beautiful Long Layered Haircut

The most beautiful hair is often something very close to what you already have - just a little better.  James created this look on his client by working with her natural texture and subtly lifting her color 1 shade to create warmth and shine.  His client comes to the salon ever 6 weeks to maintain this look.  He cuts the ends of her hair to keep it healthy and to help it grow.

The Color:

Using Wella's Koleston Perfect he subtly lifted her natural haircolor to warm up her base.  She has 'old' highlights from her last visit that blend beautifully with the color.  The highlights are done every 2 or three visits depending on how they are feeling about the color.

The Cut:

The layers were created by holding the hair out from the head and cutting from the shortest point from the crown to meet the length of the ends.  This allows for this beautiful bouncy style.

The Style:

James detangled her hair with Tina Riana detangling spray. After combing he distributed KMS California Styling Foam throughout the hair lengths to hold the curls.  He blow dried with an Ergo large round brush for volume and smoothness.  Using a large barrel curling iron he curled the hair away from the face.  He then brushed out her hair and distributed 3 pumps of the Wella hair oil we have previously reviewed through the ends for shine and separation of the curls.
